Utonomy: autonomy starts with U.
Utonomy is a spin-off of the Dutch Data Vault foundation (SNDK). Together with five Dutch media companies, the foundation worked on research and development of a personal data vault. Upod builds on that work. People keep their data in a store of their own, a pod.
Our mission is to give people full control over their own data again. Privacy is a human right. Without it, a few big tech companies took control of the web, which was meant to be an open marketplace for everyone.
The rise of AI agents gives us the chance to turn that around. AI models would compete on quality instead of on locking in users. Privacy would be respected again. And Europe would regain its digital autonomy, on a level playing field where European, American and Chinese companies compete on equal terms.
Better for people, better for business, better for Europe.
